1. Who we are (Data Controller)
SeoPilot Technologies Inc., trading as SeoPilot, is the personal information controller responsible for your data. You can reach our Data Protection Officer at dpo@seopilotweb.com.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account & contact data — name, email address, company, and role when you sign up, request a demo, or contact us.
- Connected-site data — credentials/tokens and content you authorize us to access in order to publish on your behalf.
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and similar analytics collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
- Billing data — processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
3. How and why we use your data
We process personal information only where we have a lawful basis to do so — typically the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with a legal obligation, or your consent. Specifically, to:
- provide, operate, and improve the SeoPilot service;
- research, generate, and publish content you request;
- communicate with you about your account, support, and updates;
- measure performance and secure the service against abuse;
- comply with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with sub-processors who help us run the service (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment, AI model providers) under contracts that require appropriate safeguards, and with authorities where required by law.
5. International transfers
We are based in the United States and our sub-processors may operate in other countries. Where personal information is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with reasonable technical and organizational measures.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We implement reasonable and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. If a breach affecting personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulators within the timeframes required by applicable state breach notification laws and, where the GDPR applies, the competent supervisory authority.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honor these requests regardless of your location:
- know what personal information we collect and how we use it;
- access a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate or outdated information;
- delete your personal information;
- receive your information in a portable format, and where the GDPR applies, have it transmitted to another controller;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, and limit the use of sensitive personal information (CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information;
- object to or restrict processing and withdraw consent at any time (GDPR), without affecting processing already carried out;
- be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email dpo@seopilotweb.com. We will verify your request and respond within 45 days (CCPA/CPRA) or one month (GDPR), and will tell you if we need more time. You may use an authorized agent. California residents may also appeal a denial, and EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
9. Children's privacy
SeoPilot is a business tool that is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, in line with COPPA and the CPRA. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact privacy@seopilotweb.com and we will delete it.
